The temperature must have been just under freezing.<\/p>\n<p>By noon it was warm enough that I did not need a coat, however.<\/p>\n<p>Not sure it was the weather getting Emma down. This morning when we stopped to get out of the truck to go into school, Emma was crying and stubbornly refusing to go. She had been telling me the length of the trip that school here was not good, that they ask too much of her. In particular, she was worried about falling behind in Spanish, having too much homework, and having to go to school all day, especially on Wednesdays. Emma was inconsolable when I left her with her teachers.<\/p>\n<p>During the day I called Nathalie, and asked her to set up an appointment to speak to Emma&#8217;s main teacher tomorrow. Nathalie did that. We have a meeting for tomorrow afternoon at the end of the school day.<\/p>\n<p>But when I got home, Emma was in much better spirits. She apparently did fine on her Spanish quiz, and had less homework than at the beginning of last week. Maybe if she has a chance to talk with her teacher about what she thinks is wrong, her concerns will disappear.
